Built to be used by everyone

We serve people with disabilities. A website that shut any of them out would betray everything we do.

Our promise

What we commit to

  • WCAG 2.2 AA as our minimum standard, aiming higher where we can
  • Keyboard: every menu, button and form works without a mouse, with visible focus
  • Screen readers: proper headings, landmarks and image descriptions throughout
  • Readable: body text in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for low vision; strong contrast; zoom to 200% without breaking
  • Calm: no autoplay, no flashing; animations switch off if your device asks (reduced motion)
  • Light: pages built to load on an entry-level phone on 3G data
